Solar kWh v grid kWh usage should they match ?

Can I ask a really stupid question ?

solar panels installed last august just 8 as that is all that would fit 3.44 array

bought a Kia Niro ev recently, 64kwh battery and I’m trying to figure out using the zappi how many units it uses from solar and the grid

Car took 17 kWh set at eco plus to bring it fully charged , I read my electric meter and I used 14kwh, very little other appliances running at the time

are these number ever going to match to what I see on the app

i exported some units also

im currently with Flogas .29c inc vat all day with FiT .20 inc Vat

just waiting on my latest bill to change supplier to get higher FIT and low nighttime charges

On the front screen of the Zappi there is a CHARGE LOG menu, this will show you how much was PV today/this month etc, there’s a couple of options

If you're charging the car during the day while their is solar, some of that goes into the car when there is excess. Explains why the car used more than the grid supplied.
