Temporary Driver Proof for Driving Test

    Hey all,

My driving test is in a couple of days and I am a temporary driver on someone's AXA policy. My name is not listed on the insurance disc and I found out that I need a stamped letter from AXA with proof that I'm insured on their policy, but I imagine I would not be able to get this beforehand given the short notice! Does anyone know if there's any other way/if the email sent by AXA saying I had been added to the policy is sufficient?

    Cheers!

You could visit an AXA office. Some of them still exist I think. They should be able to stamp something for you there and then.

Failing that, hire a driving school car for the test.

I've never seen or had any insurance disc with peoples names on them, just the certificate. I'm not aware of any requirement to have names displayed on discs and would have thought it's an obvious data protection issue having the drivers names displayed on the vehicle.

OP, when the policy holder added you to the policy they should have received an amended Certificate of Insurance with your details added to it. This is what you need to you prove to the authorities that you're actually insured on that particular vehicle. If they didn't receive it, get the policy holder to contact the insurer and get it emailed out.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Sometimes with a temporary addition, you wont get the cert unless you specifically request it.

This is likely the scenario here..... and I think when the op referred to disc, they probably mean cert.

The cert should do if you're insured
