Power Dung Fork ?

Hi. Is there anything on the market with a power box design but with prongs instead of a box . I have a straw bedded shed to clean out with a 2 wheel drive 7711. It isn't powerful enough to dig out the dung with the box but would probably manage with a dung fork. The shed is not suitable for a bigger tractor. I can find dung forks advertised for front loaders but not for the back of a tractor . I was considering buying an old buckrake but I think the tines would bend . Thanks

How about a euro to lift arms adapter, then you could put the front loader dung fork on the back of the tractor.

The tines on the buckrake won't bend unless you bend them. Shorten the top link and keep out a bit from the walls.

But the back loader or I use the mast type,silage block cutter on the back of an old ford, can fill a trailer or muck spreader, to draw it away

Dunno how often you clean it out but may be as handy just to hire a small loader or skidsteer with a tine grab? Would be quick and easy then

No. I'd not stack the bites, so there was not a massive weight on it. I'd only empty one bite at a time.

No front weight on it either.

I'd be dumping it over a wall too.

Here is a video I found of someone lifting out silage with one on a Nuffield. The Zetor would be a more capable machine and I don't think a grab of dung would have the weight of a grab of silage either - depending on the depth of it obviously.

This for 600 sterling in Co Down would do the job too. Ask for a few pics of the grab closed so you can see if the chrome is ok on the rams.

If you do think a rear silage grab would work for you, check all the welds. You find that some might be failing or have failed where the lower arms are attached due to rash operators reversing fast into the silage clamp. Check them all though.

This is another good option. The hire fee would be an expense too.

Might be better than buying in an old machine. Depends on availability in your area and cost to hire.
