Wheel size question

Hi I have a bmw 3 series 320d. Currently the alloys are 19 inch alloys, tyres are low profile. I’m thinking of buying the original alloys that would have come with the car. Which are 17 inch alloys and standard tyres

I bought the car a year ago. Not sure where the callipers upgraded also. Ones on the front are bigger than the one on the back. I’m afraid if I buy second hand 17 inch alloys they might not fit if modification was done.

do you think this could be an issue. I have uploaded pic of wheels and alloys.

    thank you

    front wheels and calliper

    Back wheels and callipers

Front brakes are always bigger as a car is going forward and braking at speed the car dips down on the front as more surface area is needed to slow you down. Might be something like 70 - 30 in braking power.

What size wheel is the spare as not many buy 5 big alloys as might not fit in its boot space.

Most people only change wheels and not brakes , i do see fresh brake pads and loads of clearance from calliper to centre of rim.

Some cars have only 1/2 clearance and balancing weights scraping off callipers

Thanks for the reply. No spare wheel, it has a tyre repair kit.

I'm just worried the 17 inch alloy won’t fit on front. Just don’t want to buy them and that being the case.

Do you think they'll fit? Safe enough to buy?

    thanks

They look like standard calipers (rather than uprated ones).

What model (E/F/G or else year & series) BMW are the 17" alloys from?

BMW wheels don't fit every BMW model (e.g. 3 or 5 series)

they are off a 161 bmw 3 series and going onto a 171 3 series 320d. Pressure they will fit…

Just to clarify in both cases, are they an F30 or a G20? (See here)

I believe that the 'G' models have a different wheel bolt PCD and hub spigot fitting dimensions to the 'F' models.

Edit ignore me (its been a really long day!). They'd both be F30s so should be ok
