Solar Panel Size - do different suppliers do different sizes?

    Hi All

Apologies if this has been asked before but my home has a number of velux windows so in order to maximize the number of panels they may need be smaller than standard.

I realise most companies are going to supply c 1m*1.3m panels but are there companies that supply smaller so we can fit more?

    thanks

Yes, smaller sizes are available but you'll probably have to do a bit of digging around with suppliers to source them yourself, I'd say most installers wouldn't be too bothered doing the leg work these days they're so busy. Do you know the required sizes? As said above the vast majority now are around the 1.7x1.1m mark.

There's also nothing stopping you having 2 different sizes of panels, each on their own string into a 2 string inverter. But again, anything out of the ordinary or potential hassle, most installers won't want to bother with or you'll pay a premium for it.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.
