am looking for recommendations for hotels i plan to travel by motorway the whole way. also if there are any low emission zones i need to worry about. there will be 2 of us both drivers. we plan to do it in 2 goes so stay in belgium or west germany for the night and finish the journey the next day, is this feasible ? both of us enjoy driving btw.

use A6 across from Mannheim all the way to Prague with good relatively light traffic on roads. pay attention to speed limits in Franconia, Bavaria.

Heidelberg might be a nice place for you to overnight.

vignette needed and can be purchased in service stations on German side of the border and isn't expensive for a few days.

Don't forget to buy a motorway pass for Czech Republic also. It's quite cheap and there are no further tolls.
