Mondeo MK3 Seat Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the rear seat (just the seat, not the back) on a Mondeo MK3?

The seat pulls up from the back, by the seatbelt buckle, so the under seat area can be accessed, but they appear to be clamped down somehow at the front or side at the edges. Anyone ever done this?

You flip the seat base up and there’s a hinge bolted in to the floor at the front.

it’s possible that some saloons don’t have folding rear seats? In that case they may have a different base, but generally the base hinges up and forward and you just unbolt the hinge.

Yeah the base hinges up and forward alright. I couldn't see where the hinge was though, or how many there were. I'll give it a go tomorrow now that I know what to look for, thanks.

Thats a good find, I searched high and low and couldn’t find a MK3 seat video anywhere on YT.

My seats were different though, instead of those big hinges there are just two little white clips attached to the underside of the seat, same location as above. Pulled at the correct angle, the clips just pop off and the seat comes free. Nice simple design, no tools needed.
