NCT test: Sidelamp question

One of my Peugeot 3008 sidelamps was no longer working and I replaced it (after a big struggle, lights are difficult to change in this car!). The replacement bulb produces a white light while the factory fitted one was yellow, which is the case with the other sidelamp. My headlights are halogen and produce a yellow light.

I read somewhere that the light from both sidelamps should be the same, otherwise this might cause an NCT fail. Is this the case? Does anyone have a similar experience with this?

My NCT test is scheduled for early next week and I really don't want to fail it for this.

    Thanks!

I've failed on replacing one that was dim looking with a new one where the new one was slightly brighter looking than the one on the other side. My advice which you probably don't want to hear is to get another bulb same as the new one and replace the one on the other side so both match. Perhaps the other side is not as much a pain to replace, for me one was a battery out job, the other was the air filter casing out, both complete pains to do for about €1 worth of bulbs and a good hours worth of time 🙄

On the plus side it's only a visual recheck to get the cert.

Thanks! The other side appears to be easier to change, but my question is whether it is ok to have white sidelamps and yellow hallogen headlights?

Do we need to have the same color for both headlights and sidelamps?

Yes I had factory xenons so there was never really a 100% match between sidelamp and headlight shade.
