New TV for parents

Hi, I need to upgrade my parents TV. Ideally it should be 43" due to TV stand size or bigger if the stand is in the middle but the most important requirement is Aerial and Satallite connections with 1 channel listing.

Ie Irish and English channels in 1 list, not having to change inputs.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi BMCD44.

    Many thanks for the post.

Unfortunately there is no television that can group both Aerial and Satellite station on one EGP and you have to switch between the two.

There are several televisions that have both Aerial and Satellite tuners but the channels are separate EPG's and you need to switch between the two with a few button presses on the remote.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks for the reply

Previously I bought 2 Philips TV's from you (both Android), they can create a favourites list and add any channel from either source, you end up with one channel list however the epg is 7 days for Irish channels and only now and next for Satallite. I'm assume it's still the same for the current models?

Since the only 43" Philips android tv you have (43PUS8508) seems to be more expensive then the 50" non android (50PUS7956) I was checking what other options are available?

I'm not sure if the non android has the same functionality. Also some of the Panasonic's have android but I don't know if it can have the one epg like the Philips?

Is there any wiggle room on price for black friday on the Philips 43PUS8508?

    Hi BMCD44.

The Philips are hard to beat and the Ambi Light is a great touch.

The Philips does still have the Favourites option so it should work as your others do.

Once you go into the Android series the price does increase as it usually only on their higher spec TV.

The €599 is pretty much the best price unfortunately on the 43PUS8505. I could squeeze another €10 off it down to €589 it that helped any.
