    Hi Folks,

Thought a new thread might be best.

So I want to disable the "Electric heater" in my ecodan, seems like a big waste of energy, I'm in no rush to heat the place up.

I can't for the life of me find a way of disabling it? My understanding is that it kicks in if the rooms aren't reaching the right temperature fast enough.

Any suggestions of where to look or how to do it?

    Thanks,

    Gary

Enter Service settings.......>heat source settings.....> make sure "standard" is enabled and NOT "heater"

    Also

Enter Service settings......>Auxiliary settings........>Electric heater(heating).....> make sure on is NOT checked.

Yeah, if you look at the main control screen and see the lightning bolt icon, that means either immersion or booster heater is on. Thats not good 😮

Unchecked that there now, that was checked all right, jesus no wonder people give out about consumption when stupid things like that are on by default.

Anyone know why my Ecodan (8kw split) might be doing this? Not the first time it has happened. Once before (that iv noticed anyway). I think in mid septtemeber when it was warm. Just looks like it going into panic mode and super charges after return temps drops quickly. No human interaction with controller at all on days when it has done this.

I have 1 zone, A2 rated house, underfloor heating through out, 100mm slap. Heating using the room temperature - not weather comp or fixed temp

What would cause the sudden drop in return temperature before crazy mode?

Also after it super charges it seems to drop return temp again to cool the house? I presume its mixing with cold water? Can this be turned off so it never mixes with cold water? Or maybe im understaning this incorrectly? Just cant see another explantion for how return temps drop so fast.

As its a slab id prefer just live with it a little warmer for a while if it does overheat it a bit.

Nvm, IV misunderstood flow temps to be that of the underfloor heating pipes but actually it's just temperature of pipes from outside unit

That looks a hot water reheat cycle.... The water hits the offset point i.e. set point minus 10 and then fires up. The initial drop in flow and return is more reflecting nothing really changing for ages and then it being asked to "do" something.

That's mine with a call for hot water heating earlier.... I'd bet if you turn the tank temperature lines on it will look similar (they are greyed out in the display so you've disabled them)

Hi folks, bringing back up an old one. Trying to work out max power I can send to different places and working out what the max current my ecodan 12kw would require, from what I can tell 12kw is the output so if that's the case what would the max input be?
