Working Time Directive: Hospital

I think that I already know the answer to this, so it's likely a shot in the dark.

Our ward boss, seems intent on holding back the monthly rota until the last possible minute, every month, without fail. I had read somewhere that the HSE Working Time Directive stated that their was a 2 week minimum notice period for delivery of a working rota. It's probably likely that this can be amended, pending staffing issues.

But amended so consistently? And especially with the December rota. It's their second one and last years was produced with a lot more clarity and earlier.

There neither exists a draft or even a hint of a one.

I am avoiding all examples of the gender and location of the hospital so excuse my vagueness above.

    Thanks.

Are you a member of a union? If so, that should probably be your first stop. If not, have you discussed it with your boss? Jumping straight to a "Legal Discussion" without doing at least one of those things is almost certainly premature

Yeah. Fair dues. I was really just looking for a quick explainer on the Working Time Directive provisions.

Obv. I've had discussions with the boss and staffing reps have done so too.

    Member of a union alright.

Yeah. Not the place for the chat. Thought legal would see a proliferation of experts on Working Time Directive. Will delete post. Thanks for advice.
