    Hello

my kids are using my phone to listen to music on a bluetooth speaker. (Not a smart speaker a JBL)

This is becoming tedious and my play lists are now full of Taylor Swift.

I was thinking of getting an Home Pod mini for the kids to listen to their music.

My kids don't have phones yet (Thank God) and im confused as to how to set things up so they can control it.

Without bothering me - asking for my phone when they want to play music.

i've read you must use a phone to set it up, does that mean if the kids are using the Homepod i cant use my phone to play my own music on other speakers?

    Thanks

You can if you have a family sub to Apple Music. Otherwise one will cut the other off.
