Thinking of switching from Eir/Apple TV, any thoughts on Pure's offering. Price seems ok 30 for 3 rooms and 40 for 1GB broadband.

The main reason for changing is we just don't get on with apple tv, what's the NetGem box like in comparison. None of us use iphones.

Very little info about this OP.

from what I can make out it seems to be an implementation of Amazon’s Fire TV (itself based on Android) and the channels available are just Saorview (and Channel 4? Their logo is there but the demo video would suggest not).

TBH if you were going with them for broadband anyway then fair enough but if you just want Saorview then just get Saorview - it’s free as long as you can pick up a signal - and then get whatever broadband is cheapest and suits your needs.
