    Could do with something a bit bigger and a bit more grip to do an odd bit of trailer work. But need seats for the kids.

    I see an 06 xC-90 for sale locally and it might. Fit the bill for a year or 2 and better value than a crew cab land cruiser

    anything to watch out for?

    parts are very expensive with volvo, thats the only thing. but overall if the car has been regularly serviced you shouldnt expect any major issue.

    Big heavy car with big heavy running costs. Tyres, brakes and suspension all take a pounding on these.

    Fuel economy and other running costs will be high also.

    Oh and an old one is almost valueless.
