PIAB - medical assessment

Hi. I had an appointment with PIAB doctor to assess my injuries after RTA.

Few days ago my solicitor called me to his office and said that this doctor wrote in the report that I have a soft tissue strain, he can't understand why I am in pain, my arm is numb and weaker and my injuries are exceeding of what he thinks I have.

PIAB based on his report wants to send me to psychiatrist to "better understand" my injuries.

The problem is I had an appointment with my Neurosurgeon and based on my injuries, I will need at least 2-3 surgeries on my neck, and that's the best case scenario.

So my solicitor wrote to PIAB to cancel psychiatrist as this will only delay my case and wants to bring it to court.

Is it common thing for PIAB?

My solicitor said that PIAB doctor wants to prove that I'm mentally unstable and can't clearly describe my pain and there is no pain, it's all in my head.

Yes, my mental health is not the best, but how could it be as due to constant pain I get maybe 3-4 hrs sleep everyday, I can't do things I used to do, including cooking, cleaning, as it's hard to do it with one hand and my husband does it all.
