Is it a risk to accept a quote for installing panels without them visiting first?

We haven't yet accepted any quote as yet, but one installer has said they'd be issuing a quote without having done a site visit first. We're worried because we could be expected to pay a few grand deposit and when they come to install, they might declare our roof isn't suitable or something.

Pretty normal. With google maps if you gave eircode then you are good. Its a science. If you have to have a visit expect to pay extra for that.
