Folks, can someone confirm if it's still Freepost to send a VLC to Shannon for a change of ownership.

Just sold a Car, no stamps at home. I've a post box just up the road, but the nearest shop is 10km away.... and not sure if they even sell stamps ???

You dont even need an envelope , that;s how freepost it is. I know from personal experience you can just put the logbook in the post and they send it to shannon.

I posted one last week as he sold van, yes it needs a stamp, it does not say anywhere on the form re address to send back that it's freepost.

    It's not free post.

Post to any government department or state body has always been freepost. You just have to add "free post" in the address and it is valid. Government departments pay for the license annually from an post.

I sent one in the last month, free post like always, and the change of ownership took place just fine, as always.

Yes it is 100% freepost. I post logbooks every week with no stamp.

Thanks Folks. I was 99% sure I didn't need a stamp, but somehow just had a feeling that things may have changed in the last year or so.

Anyway, VLC sent off marked as Freepost.

There’s digital stamps now too you can buy online and write the code on for your letters that aren’t free post. Save you a trip to the shops.

    100% free, ELM327's post #5 above is 100% accurate.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
