    hi all,

my RCD tripped this morning and I've isolated the fault to a single circuit that has the shower water pump off it.

The RCD is fine unless I flick the MCB up that has the pump on it. I flicked down the MCBs on all the socket circuits so I could isolate the fault to one circuit- the MCB is not tripping so I imagine its not a short circuit, its an earth fault as RCD is tripping?

Its a 3 bar monsoon pump that we've had for about 5 years.

Does anyone know if these pumps can be fixed or is it goosed?

    thanks for any help
