When can I clear land?

I inherited some land a while ago and there's about 3 acres of it that's fairly over grown. Sally's and gorse growing on most of it.

My question is, when can I get someone in with an excavator and clear it off?

I rang two local lads to get a quote and one said I can do it when ever I like, the other thinks I need to wait till summer??

Who is right here? Thanks.

And if its a conservation area or adjoining a conservation area, you can do feck all without consulting with a few government departments.

From now onwards as far as the first as March for clearing scrub and bushes hedges are different. But alot of what the others have posted needs to be kept in mind

Could be too wet at this time as everywhere is swimming. Digger and mulcher if not too badly overgrown. If there’s drains to clean make sure they’re not streams.

Some pair of rascals you rang.neither of them are right. As said 1 September to 28 February for hedge/ vegetation destruction.

I hope you're going to farm it op or someone else.if not consider leaving it.
