I have an old white fiat ducato. There is a known issue with the top paint layer coming away from the base coat.

Mine is marked by this issue and i am wondering could i wrap it instead of getting it resprayed.

I don't want to put a design type decal on it( mountains etc) just white

The bonnet is 170cm by 70 cm,so not big

    2 questions

Is it a good idea and where would i get the matte white wrap?

PS I'm not sure of my terminology.

could you get fiat to respray it for free? my sister got her 10 year old car resprayed because fading and peeling was a common problem with red toyotas of that year.

I doubt it it's over 20 years old. Thanks though for the suggestion.

A respray would probably be just as cheap. You'll have to prep the paint regardless as the wrap needs to be applied to a flat smooth surface or else any imperfections will come through.

If you watched a few youtube videos you could respray it yourself. Would take a couple of hours and probably cost about €35 or so

You can buy paint kits with all that you need to spray something like that with a can from the likes on Vinny Byrne online.
