Nope, just the general email this morning about the new recruitment campaign and that now I am no.153 from 2024 intake! Blady hek, patience is a virtue. Let's hope for the next round and I have to renew my C1 learners by May '26.

Il sitting in and around the same number. Hopefully next intake. Why dont you try and do the full c1 that way there will be less stress once you get in

Is there a way to know how many people are on the panels overall? I assume the latest recruitment campaign would be for September 2026/ joining those on a panel for then too?

Hi all, I’m thinking of applying in the current recruitment. When you start college do you have to stay in the town/city of the college or can you go home after every day?

I haven’t received anything but some people have regarding references and stuff ? Wondering if I’m the only one who hasn’t heard anything ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 accaber98

there is no requirement to but it would depend on your personal circumstances colleges are ballinasloe, tullamore,Tallaght and cork so it would all depend on where you live and what college you end up getting. Eg I live in the north west and got Tallaght it would not be feasible to commute. Accommodation at the minute is roughly €140 a week and it’s the same in ballinasloe.

Does anyone know much about the step test? Im a bit panicked for it😅

look up the Chester step test. I’ve been practicing this on the stairs in my house 🤣

In relation to references - is the normal process for NRS to choose who you can use, you have to email you old employer the NRS reference to fill in and send directly to the NRS? This is my experience so far and taking some time to get the box ticked.

    Step test Friday too!

how have people found the chester step test? was the step 30cm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 1233ke

I had to contact my old employers too about the reference form, it's a long process!

Ya the step was 30cm, I thought it was grand, I was nervous before it though which didn't help😅

Yeah I was stopped near the end of stage 4 just over half way aswel. If your doing it in Dublin it’s a small room bring cold water and wear shorts it’s very hot.

For anyone who applied in the recent campaign in September... has the invitation for the supervised Verbal and analytic testing been sent out yet? The information booklet said it was due to commence the week of Nov 3rd and applicants would be notified a week beforehand.
