    Hello,

Eir are still an absolute joke of company.

I took out a trial of their tv service and I receved a spare Eir branded remote but no box three weeks ago.

I've called them several times the past few weeks and keep being fobbed off and told box is on the way.

No box arrived I'm sick of calling them and on hold etc.

I tried to cancel twice and they keep cutting me off the phone while I wait for cancelling confirmation.

What the hell can I do?

    Email or post the cancellation

Their website states you have to call them to cancel

I wouldn't pay much heed to that. A notice of cancellation in any format is acceptable. Sky used to do the same (possibly still do) with the aim of talking you into staying or entering a new contract. But they still had to accept written notices. At least people got through to them. With Eir there seems to be a culture of cutting people off by agents who just want to get their day in without having to deal with the customers.

If it were me I would still give a written cancellation notice and follow that up with an official complaint.

I'm thinking of switching to Eir broadband, on the website it says up to speeds of 1gb available

But when I click on tv, it says tv not available at address

    Why would that be?

Is there finer outside your front door? If not then you won’t be getting gb broadband.
