When my milk was delivered today i noticed it was my milkmans wife doing the delivery but she was delivering out if her car which isn't refrigerated. Surely that's not right

I guess it's not what you are paying for but, when its delivered do not leave it at your door anyhow? It would depend on how long it is in the vehicle, whether they at least have cool boxes in the car etc.

What is the deal you signed up for, was it confirmed as delivery by refrigerated vehicle?

All you can do is complain/refuse to pay service and either look for them to amend their delivery or just move to another supplier and do your due diligence when signing up based on your experience with this outfit.

I remember the days of milk floats doing most house with bottles of milk, no refrigeration at all and on a summer morning you could scrape the cream from the top of the bottle before putting it on the cornflakes and heading into school, on a winters morning a few times were effectively delivered ice cream!
