RTE Radio 1: The 9 O Clock Show hosted by Various Megathread

I guess the show needs it's own thread. The plan is that Oliver Callen, Brendan Courtney and couple of other tba hosts will do it will into the winter. It very much looks like the vacancy is left open for Tubs to return.

Surely a misstep. But perhaps RTE are soo stuck for sponsors now, they are taking a risk.

Only got to listen to this show recently. Callan sounds almost indistinguishable from Tubs. Is this an RTE affected accent thing? Voice kind of oscillating up and down.
The content is better and the interview he did wasn't as forced.

Yes… show has plummeted into a kind of torpor now as Callan gets his feet under the table.
Run through mostly social media stuff for 20 mins, have the few cuts at the Govt. then onto the ‘everybody’s great’ interview segment usually with some unknown from a media background.
Very formulaic and predictable…………and very much of a ‘phoning it in’ bang off it.
