Air Conditioning install in Timber Frame house?

    Hi Folks,

Recently moved into a new build timber framed house. I work from home permanently and my home office tends to become a bit of a sauna.

I'm hoping to get an Air Conditioning unit installed - but worried about the fact that a 2-3" hole will need to be drilled through the wall to bring the pipework to the exterior unit. I've heard a lot of talk about how you shouldn't drill holes through timber frame houses due to the fact that you would be punching the membrane?

Hoping someone might be able to provide some advice on this topic.

There are ways to make the hole and manage and seal insulation/ membrane penetration properly. Non issue to my knowledge as long as its not a cowboy banging a large careless hole in your wall and dirt into your cavity.

    😎
