    Seems a strange move ... transplanted to 1960s south of france. So much of the original was about the setting. At least it is still a period piece and yes looks slickly done.

    Not sure if Owen is carrying off the accent.

    Really liked the opening episode it looked stunning and the ending of the episode sets up the rest of the season.

    AMC are such a mess here, could end up on any channel/streamer really!

    Overall I really enjoyed the series and Clive Owen was really great as Sam Spade.

    I'd happily watch another season if the decide to make one.

    just finished it , thought it was really good ,really hope it gets a season 2

    Now to find who is streaming the Maltese falcon as I need more Spade action .
