Just after gathering up last of the Silage here now, if this ground was to get fertiliser spread on it early next week would you see much of a response this time of year or would it be better to just close that field now and graze again in the spring? Would be spreading 10 10 20 at 2 bags to the acre.

One bag would be enough you would be far better off spread the likes of a pasture sward or 18 6 12 lot of p and k for this time of the year

2 bags/ ac perhaps a little high at this time of year, spreading 15 units N here up to closing date , P and K work well this time of year and will enhance growth over the winter if conditions are favourable

Over 20 degrees this week, the ground is warm. So spread a bag to the acre.

We often put out fert in a cold march and got very little response. Fingers crossed for a fairly good October that the animals can stay out.
