Two brilliant turnaround victories in the singles just now for Liam Nolan (2 down with 5 to play) and Mark Power (3 down with 7 to play). So all 4 Irish players have got a win today in either foursomes or singles, which is fantastic. Hopefully Matt McClean can at least halve the 18th for 1.5 points today.

And so he has. Great Irish contribution to a 7.5-4.5 overnight lead.

  • A superb fight back by team USA clinched the Walker Cup for the fourth time in a row. Special mention for world am golf ranking number one Gordon Sargent who went 4-0 over the two days of competition.

Mark Power and John Gough have now ended their amateur careers and will both make their professional debuts at the K Club for the Irish Open next week. Mark won 6 of his 8 Walker cup matches in 2021 and 2023, some nice achievement for the Kilkenny golfer.
