VW Passat Timing Belt

    I have a 2018 VW Passat trendline

    The belt is due to be changed.

    I get the car serviced by a independent mechanic and I ask him today about changing the timing belt.. He quoted me €650 said it needed an electric water pump.

    Just spotted Blackwater Motors are doing it for €579.

    would I be better going with the main dealer.

    Its a 1.6TDI with 150K mileage
