Part V - will I have to pay it?

I have very recently acquired a site in a zoned residential area, of approx 0.32 acres (1300m2).

Now a good chunk of this land (approx between 100m2-150m2) was ceded to the council to let a public road pass by years ago (when I was not the owner).

If I plan to build a single house in this plot would part V apply to me and would I have to pay money or cede further land to the planning authority?

    not for a single house

Under section 97(3) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), applicants seeking planning permission for a development consisting of the provision of 4 or fewer houses, or for housing on land of 0.1 hectares or less, can apply for an exemption certificate

you have to include a 'Part V exemption cert application' with your planning application.
