    Hi

i was here involved in a fatal car accident some years ago(not my fault,I was in back of car that speeding/drunk driver hit.

there was a court case and the man got jail for 2 deaths.

a man came across the accident and saved our lives..

Iam sure he made a full statement at the time to the guards about when he came across etc..

( I never really got to talk this him about and then when i finally did go to his house, his daughter said he had Alzheimer’s now and was never right from that night..)

would I be allowed to read it/see it?

Highly unlikely. Do you have details of the case or prosecuting garda or the legal representatives involved? Hiring a solicitor to write a letter to the Garda might be one route.

Are you prepared for what might not be an easy read?

Why do you want to read it?

Maybe it is something that should be left alone…

it’s just something that would plays on my mind now and again.

i thought there might be an easy access to the statements since I was a passenger in the car.

Oh, if you retained a solicitor at the time, they might have the statements on file.
