    Hi all,

We have a problem with a 2011 Hyundai i30 where the front low and full beam lights are no longer operating. The fog lights, indicators, rears and 5w parking lights are all coming on. The switch on the steering wheel stalk seems to work as the fogs etc. turn on but the low and high beam indicator does not show on the dashboard. I have checked fuses and relays which appear okay.

Can you can recommend an independent Hyundai specialist or similar to investigate?

    Thanks a mil!

Never heard of any Hyundai specialists. Try an auto electrician

    Which fuses did you check?

The I30 has 2 fuses for the headlights - completely stupid system. One under the bonnet and the other in the dash. Common enough problem on them and most people miss the second fuse. Usually its down to corrosion where the bulbs go into the headlight and causes the fuse to blow. Check the fuse at the dash.

Thanks for the reply. I double checked both fuse boxes and still no sign of life. I was able to swap the fuses and bulbs for known working ones and still nothing. Time for some extra help I think!

D & R Auto electric, Fishery lane in Naas - I have had a few problems with wiring on lights over the years (old car 2010 things just wear and corode) - they got it sorted and are reasonabally priced (less than 200).

Thanks again. I've ordered a new indicator stalk and headlight switch. It might fix it, otherwise will try these recommendations.
