Do I need to register job online?

    I'm starting a new job at the end of the month.

    I was wondering do I need to register it online using the revenue website?

    Is that how it's done now?

    I wanted to ring Revenue up and talk about it but I can only get through to an answering machine that tells me call volumes are too high and hangs up on me so ringing Revenue these days seems to be impossible.

    I know that if you start a new job without Revenue knowing you can end up with a massive tax cut off your paycheck via emergency tax and I don't want that to happen.
