Would an aftermarket subwoofer negatively affect resale value?

Hi. I have a 2017 Audi A7. Am looking at putting in a subwoofer though a prefabricated mount - would end up looking like this:

Just reading up on it and it seems there is a risk/ likelihood that this will affect resale value (and not in a good way).I would need to cut out the boot liner to accommodate the fitting so this would be permanent.

Anyone got thoughts or experiences on this?

    Won’t affect value at all

I'd say depends on the buyer, for me it would be a plus and happy to pay more (meaning haggle less) but especially a non car person might see it as a negative due to car not being standard and potential issues down the line or the whole grey area of insurance declarations.

Either way it won't make a huge difference on value so just go for it.

I would rather the car be as stock as possible. Signs of modifications would have me thinking that they could cause issues, as I wouldnt know who did the job. But it wouldnt be a deal-breaker.

    I'd prefer stock.

I've seen a few cars go on fire after the owner did their own install of a radio or speaker.

I wouldn't want that risk with buying a second hand car.

I can't see it affecting value, would be way down the list of potential red flags on a 7-10 year old complex car when you come to sell it.

The 3 litre diesel engine may be a massive drawback or a massive positive in a few years, depending in market sentiment towards diesel in a few years, subwoofer will be a non issue
