Should I dose calves

We have around 10 calves we sell as runners each year.

Should I be dosing these calves? We only dose the cattle going into sheds and on an ad hoc basis if poor.

We try to wean them as close to selling as possible.

Do a faecel egg count sample and it will give an idea of worm burden. Won't pick up hoose ( harsh coughing after a bit of a run with this wet weather). Putting them through the crush will set back thrive for a few days.

On the egg count it's the way we will be going with dosing in the next 2 years.

I haven't dosed the bucket fed calves yet and have 3 samples taken so far. Small touch of hoose starting to show its head with them so they will get a dose some stage this week
