    Anyone ever have one of these?

    Bough in the early 1980's, and kicking about ever since.

    Used for only a year, and then the cartridges of antibiotics/wormer etc became unavailable.

    Was it for artificial hormones? They were banned in the 80s

    No, not a hormone gun, the plastic "bottle" in the background could be bought with antibiotics or wormer like Ivomec or Trodax.
