Just curious if anyone has any vintage road frames , groupsets , wheels etc they’ve considered putting up for sale ? Prob wouldn’t consider anything below approx 531/SL ‘ standard’ , thanks .Of course all our eyes are turned by the 80s/90s Italians but would consider older and other countries . 55-57cm traditional size please .Mostly after steel but would consider early CAAD ( that red/ orange / yellow paint scheme is fab ) or an early TCR carbon eg ONCE .What have you got ? Cheers

I am going to be selling my Tommasini very soon. Its a frame I bought new a few years ago.Has a carbon fork.

Cant remember what columbus tubing it has.

    Size 54.

    A few drawbacks:

You cant run standard cable groupset shifting as my bike shop drilled it for electronic.

BB is Italian threaded but can leave the campagnolo ultra torque cups in.

The max width tyre is about 26/27c.

I really like this frame but need to go N-1.

Will be looking for circa €500 for it.

The pic is when new. Plenty of wear on it now but still a stunner.

Jeez thats a looker alright .Got a model name or anything ?The tyre size wouldnt bother me but Id probably want mechanical shifting Surely you can get little clips or adaptors to reset it to non electronic shifting ?

Tommasin Fire Spirit is the model.

The only thing thats stopping it form being mechanical is the lbs had to cut off the guide at the rear that routes the cable.

He also drilled a hole on the headtube to route the electronic cable.

Everything else is in situ for mechanical.

Now I do need to say that this is bike thats been ridden many happy kms and has the marks as such.

Just on the tommasino website the frame has external routing of cables whereas mine has internal routing.

What are you considering as retro as regards age. I still ride a mint 2004 TCR Once composite. Great frame. The only thing I'd change it for though is a newer rim braked tcr.

I have an I maculate 7800 groupset that I just replaced with Utlegra r8000

I also have other stuff like a set of practically unused American Classic CR420 wheels with a TA Specialities aluminium 9 speed cassette. This could be upgraded to 10 speed with different spacers and I have a couple of spare cassette rings also. All back from weight weenie days.

I also have DA7700 stuff but that is on my winter bike. Also immaculate though.

I was trying to decide whether to sell this stuff or not recently, or just put it away. Saw your post though so if you are interested in any of that let me know.

Can I get four prices for the separate two groupsets , wheels and frame please? The TCR is built up with 7800 at the moment ? ( full price of that ?) Thanks

I'll get some pics later and think about prices.

I haven't a clue really about what to ask so if you have guideline prices in mind feel free to share.

7800 groupset was taken off the tcr a few weeks ago, pictures of it here https://www.boards.ie/discussion/comment/120775284/#Comment_120775284

thinking about the TCR, I'm probably better off keeping it as these days the replacement cost is gone stupid for another newer TCR frame.
