Eddi heater 2 not engaging

I have a gen 1 Eddi which has been working well for a year or so now but when I recently added a second immersion to the mix, it doesn't work. I have the relay board and I believe it's set up correctly. The second circuit is connected to a 3kW Willis unit and relay 2 is configured to come on when the second heater starts to run a pump. All of this happens as it should but it says 'Max temp reached' even though it's not hear it. I think when it senses no load, it also says max temp reached but I checked and there is definitely a load. Just to be sure, I swapped the two loads and the Willis worked fine with heater 1.

Could this be configuration or is the second circuit dead on the Eddi maybe? I emailed Myenergi tech support and while they are very good normally, the didn't reply for over a week and just said they are too busy at the moment. If I still have a problem, resubmit my ticket.

Try it without the relay doing anything to help narrow it down.

If you only connect the heater 2 does it work?

Does heater 2 work with the first immersion?

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't work with only heater 2 (without the relay) and heater 2 doesn't work with the first immersion either.
