Muziker, anyone bought from there?

New enough to golf. Have been using a second hand set of Mizuno irons and a driver that looks to be about 20 odd years old, all a bit beaten up at this stage. I was going to invest in a decent new set, budget would be about €1k.

I was looking at a few package sets like Callaway Warbird and Taylormade RBZ and came across the usual on Halpenny's, McGuriks, American Golf EU, etc. but also found Muziker which has some sets for hundreds less.

I generally believe in "if it sounds too good to be true..." but I found a boards thread from 2018 in the music section saying they were fine.

Reviews are mixed online so I'm wondering if anyone here has bought from them?

I'm not sure if just buying a package set is the best idea, probably best to go to one of the big shops and try some out and see what's best? I'm not very good with no consistency so not sure if that would benefit either.

What I would say is that a second hand set of mizuno irons are possibly going to be better clubs than one of those package sets

I bought a fiddle off them for my daughter a few months ago. Perfectly good service and a good price

Thanks. I was told after I bought the Mizunos that they're typically more difficult for beginners to hit.

Any suggestions on a new set of clubs, €1k limit?

Thanks. It seems that most complaints are on the delivery of items or customer care if there's an issue.

They accept PayPal so if I do use Muziker then I'll use that

Which model of the mizuno do you have?

Is your 1k budget just for irons, or a full set of clubs??

If I'd a grand to spend id forget new. You could get top notch clubs second hand from the big brands for that

OK, MP-64 likely a bit outside of what someone taking up the game should be hitting, in terms of forgiveness (nice clubs though)

Without anyone being able to see you swing, etc... and knowing some info about your swing speed, etc... its tricky for anyone to come up with a recommendation around shafts, etc... which makes buying recommendations tricky.

You could look in the second hand market at something like the JPX range of Mizuno irons. They're still Mizuno, so great quality, but they'll be more forgiving than the MP ranges.

Things like the Titleist AP range would probably be affordable now and would be great irons.

I'd say, if you could get yourself to somewhere like The Golf Studio at Celbridge Driving Range he has a large selection of 2nd hand stuff, and does trade ins too, so could use your existing gear to offset some cost. Also the benefit of being attached to a driving range means you could likely give clubs a quick try before you buy.

In terms of Driver, most people would generally say that the most forgiving tend to be the Ping G range, but lots of personal preference in there, I've never gotten along with a Ping driver in a fitting session. If you could pick up a Taylormade M2 somewhere cheap you'll be likely getting a bargain. Lot of people still playing them even though they're probably 7-8 years old at this stage.

Also worth thinking about trying to squeeze in something like a hybrid into your set rather than long irons

Thanks for all that information, really appreciate it. I'm 10 minutes from Celbridge and have seen The Golf Studio on Adverts I think, I'll definitely take a look there!
