Nose pump

Am installing a nose /pasture pump and would like to know how far it can be installed from the water source. The pump will be circa 3 metres above the water source. Any information would be much appreciated

I've got one of them sitting to be installed - Aquamat Pasture Pump. They are specc'ed for 7m of vertical lift or 50m horizontal lift.

Have a lister nose pump and found it didn't work very well at what it was specified at, a bit like the battery fencers that say they will do x acres rarely live upto that in reality

Yea fouznd the same they seem to need to be very close to the river to work a few meters really is all they will pump
