Has anyone been able to access channel 5 on Sky Stream. They have NFL this year and I'm trying to get it running. Looks like it's not available in Ireland anymore.

Channel 5 was never officially on Sky here afaik. You can tune it manually on Sky Q, as it is Freeview, but that wouldn’t apply to Stream.

That is essentially the situation yes, it was never there in the first place.

If you are looking for NFL, and you are not a Sky Sports customer, you can access RedZone on Sky Sports Mix, which is available to all Sky customers, while the International Series games are on VMTV.

Basically Channel 5 is carried free-to-air on the Astra 28.2°E satellites, as part of the Freesat service. It's only available here on a Sky satellite box because the box is able to manually tune to the channel. If you still have a dish, maybe consider setting up Freesat. Some TVs even have a DVB-S and Freesat tuner built-in.

The channel has never been officially available in Ireland, but FTA Freesat service is basically just a narrow 'spot beam' to focus the signal on the UK, Ireland is however in the footprint.

Thanks! Yeah, I was being greedy. I always have the redzone on but saw Green Bay were on 5 and I wanted to check out their coverage. I'll use a VPN and have a look on the laptop or something next week. Thanks, everyone!

I just priced out Sky Stream out of curiosity - as a Sky Q customer, it's exactly the same price. So, I don't really see any advantage in switching over - the whole sky offering seems increasingly bad value for money.
