Wanted - Moderator

Rebarrelling my 223 atm and looking for a moderator for it. Its a heavy barrel so would prefer m18x1 or 5/8x24. Also a wildcat evo or a jetz cqb or other non over barrel model if possoble, as a hausken does not fit over the barrel diametre and a wildcat will. Thanks in advance. Also I have the "S" on my license proof will be supplied before purchase.

Hi, I have an Aimsport triton S50 threaded 18x1 rated up to 6.7mm. It has only about 40 rounds of creedmoor through it but is scratched where I foolishly opened it for cleaning with a large vice grip. Damage is only superficial and would easy be covered with cerakote or neoprene sleeve. Would let it go cheap to someone who’d use it

I'd just be worried it won't fit over the barrel the same way hausken don't pal. Thanks though

Hi Topcat, I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t fit as it was on a heavy barrel bergara in creedmoor. I had the barrel guide ring bored out for heavy barrel as its only plastic. Not trying to sell but the barrel guide ring is usually the only restriction on barrel size and it has no bearing on moderator performance. Anyone with a lathe could open this ring out for you easily. In fact a hausken could be made fit if that is your preferred mod

What diameter is the new barrel at the muzzle?

It's a 24" proof sendero the exact same as my 7mm which a hausken won't fit over. I'm away with work so can't measure it atm unfortunately.
