Jap Import - Ford Fiesta Mk6 (141) - Stereo/Android Auto Query

    Hi Folks,

Bought an absolute little cracker of a Mk6 Fiesta today (Ecoboost, ST kit - all the trimmings basically). Gorgeous little thing to drive, especially coming from a Skoda Fabia.

Its a Jap Import, so Im wondering if anyone has advice for either:

-Sorting FM Frequency issues (Station keeps jumping in/out whilst driving)

    or

-If Android Auto is possible on one of these? It has a completely separate screen (tiny little 3" thing in the dash) with a lower control "console" per se. Sony branded.

The car is for the wife, so wanted to ensure she has as decent setup as possible.

    Thanks all!

You could replace the head unit with a modern one but you may loose steering control options if you have them.

Same here, VWs are way more common to import.

they exist though, this one is mental money by the time you pay customs, VAT and VRT. 2014 would end up the same price as a new one was

There is a double DIN fascia panel you can get but they’re a bit clumsy looking.

I think 2024 is mk7 so might help

There are a few dealers bringing them in from Japan, as well as Renault Clios. They can be bought for a fraction of that price from auction.

OP there are a few lads on Instagram who install Apple Carplay, they usually do radio frequency changing too.

There are a few of them for sale on the likes of carsireland.ie alright. The radio on them seems to be an integrated Sony unit that was a rare option over here. Would be a shame to have to replace it with an aftermarket unit without at least seeing if it can be adjusted for our FM frequency band.
