I will have doubts until the moment it is mathematically confirmed. City will be 3 nil up in the 60th minute and I won’t be able to relax

Hes a class act but the guy that gets very little credit and he's just as important is Bernardo Silva.

Nicholas Jackson is very raw. Lots of work required to make him an effective striker.

As a Villa fan I expect nothing from our game against Liverpool as our team of walking wounded were already out on our feet last week when we lost to a poor Brighton side before playing Thursday while Pool got back to winning ways then had a full week off.

3 ACLs (Beundia, Mings and Kamara) and Ramsey essentially being out all season as well as all the extra european games has seen Villa's players playing way more games than expected with little rotation. Then when you throw in the extra injuries like Tielemans, Moreno, Zaniolo & Rodgers being out atm it isn't a surprise that not many Villa fans are confident of getting anything from the last 2 games (Palace are in great form).

Hopefully that does not matter though because as much as i'd like a team that does not have 115 charges hanging over them winning the league City are relentless and Spurs (scraping past Burnley aside) have not looked like a team capable of stopping them winning the title to allow Arsenal's glory and if Spurs lose to Ciity it does not matter if Villa lost the last 3 games of the season they'll still get 4th/CL football for next season.

as much as he deserved a red card, and equally as much as i am supporting spurs and celts on the same day and loving that they both wo .

But that commentators remark is irrelevant. Unless I misunderstood

At some stage Toby you'll have to accept Man City will never face penalties for those charges. It would have happened by now. The PL are too scared of the fact City's legal team will demolish them which they will. Corruption or not City aren't going anywhere.

That specific 'Anthony Gordon' penalty move - sticking his foot between the defender's clearance and the ball - could do with some clarification. He's gotten pens from it already this season, so actively tries it every single chance he gets now. He tried it again today and didn't get it, but you know he'll probably get the next one. It should obviously be a free out as he's not trying to play the ball, he's just making sure he gets kicked, but the decision making for now is murky. A loophole in need of fixing.

Its cheating but it's also very stupid, he could end up getting a bad injury from it.

It was psychologically over after the 0-0 at the Etihad.

It was properly over once Arsenal lost to Villa.

And City gave Arsenal and Liverpool a chance this season. 91 points will be slightly meh for them.

The only way to beat Pep's City to a league is to steamroll them from the start and never stop. In fact, you might need two seasons of perfection to get one league. That's just how it is. Liverpool fans warned everyone while rivals took the piss out of them for only winning a few trophies over the last few years, while pushing City all the way relentlessly with multiple points totals north of 90.

    Enjoy everyone!

Yup, when Liverpool only managed so finish 2nd with 97 and 92 points on two separate occasions it should have sent shockwaves through football about city’s dominance, instead everyone just went LOL Liverpool bottlers etc…

    Enjoy all!

Liverpool fans challenge to not make it about themselves - failed!

Liverpool's title challenge in pursuit of a very gettable 92 points fell to pieces but the real story here is how some opposition fans laughed at them a few years ago.

The premier league will have to find a way to let clubs spend more cash now that city will probably win 4 in a row. They don't want that going to 5 or 6. The January transfer window was also a bit embarrasing for them with no big tranfers dominating the media so they could laugh at the rest of Europe.

There aren't many clubs who can spend big money. A salary cap and max net transfer spend is what's needed. Of course clubs like City will sell shares in a company to their players to sweeten their wages I'd guess. Thing is a max net transfer spend might stop things from getting out of hand.

    It's not about Liverpool.

It's about domination rivals are willing to ignore when it suits them. I know plenty of Liverpool fans doing the same now, not wanting Arsenal to win it.

I don't understand it. I'd love Arsenal to do it. But we all know how this league season is ending, and it's not good. League run-ins are supposed to have twists and turns. City have destroyed that. In a run-in, you're just waiting for one falter by a City rival, and then it's over. It's not normal, and no football fan can genuinely enjoy the inevitability of it.

They had a chance to do something about it when Jamie Vardy and then Harry Kane turned the dropping/leaving the leg in, into an art over the last 8/9 seasons but did nothing about it. I doubt they will look at it now.

    Regards,

    P

No Bruno for United today. McTominay to be the hero for United again?

Arsenal have a real nack of playing teams missing their key player this season, while never missing their own.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,974 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Arsenal will win but probably won't be a hammering.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,892 ✭✭✭✭CSF

That United lineup has the same ugly vibes off it that the Palace one had.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,944 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

The United team is obviously in a jock, but is there a reason Kambwala isn't put into this game from the start, with Casemiro in his more familiar position?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,796 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Casemiro stealing a living, insane sequence of play there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,901 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Neville right to call out Casemiro there. Terrible from him, lazy.

There was lots of eyebrows raised at his transfer because of wages and age etc and his performances since last February ish have been very poor to terrible. Those who criticized the transfer were called out lots but they're getting the last laugh now.

Comically lazy by Casemiro, he really is beyond it. Nicely taken by Trossard.
