Hi, apologies if I am posting this in the wrong group. We have a Solareg II closed loop solar hot water system The pressure gauge running off the immersion tank is just under 4 bar, is this too high, I have read that around 1.5/2 bar is about average ? Also, there are 6 pipes running to/from the tank all of which are piping hot, I assume this is the norm ? Thanks in advance.

First thing I'd do is find the manual for the system. It will give you the expected pressures.

I'd imagine its gonna be hot given the current weather.. presume it is heating the tank fully? if its all heated the heat may not have anywhere to go. some systems will stop pumping in this case.

Thanks Gerry, will try and do some detective work. Yes, the tank is full heating the water so that must be it.
