Clear coat, lacquer patch gone

A stone chip on a front panel of my car combined with a power washer = a section of the clear coat / lacquer has peeled off. From looking online I've read that the options with a fix on this are:

    1) Fix it myself (sand paper, heat gun, lacquer spray, polisher)

    2) Get the panel redone professionally.

I could try option one but the idea of getting out the sand paper on my car makes me nervous so I think option two is the best bet. Has anyone any idea on how much something like this might cost very roughly? And for north Dublin (or more specifically Dublin 3 area) - any recommendations for a place that can do this work?

It's the panel just under the Citroen logo in this photo.
