Looking at a new bike (first bike in about 5 years) for commuting 6km ish each way want something fairly easy to maintain and that I can wear my work clothes on the bike (so full mudguards) would also like the option of the occasional sun 100km leisure/fitness ride. wouod a single speed or fixed like the genesis flyer be the best option or madness?

What about a 1x gravel bike? Fairly easy to maintain and would give you the option of longer spins if you wanted?
