Monitoring heat pump energy use for split system

First time heat pump owner trying to figure out energy monitoring. I have a newly installed Hitachi split heat pump - indoor combi unit with intregrated water tank and outdoor double fan unit.

Most power monitoring solutions I see use either a CT clamp on the heat pump circuit or an inline monitor of some kind on the circuit. That makes sense to me.

For my install in the consumer box the electrician seems to have split the indoor unit (combi box) and outdoor fan onto separate breakers/circuits. So if I want to monitor my heat pump's consumption, is it as simple as me adding two CTs instead of one and summing the consumption in software?

I'm planning on using a Shelly Pro 3EM and Home Assistant to do this but a little confused.

    Thanks!

Cant a brand new Hitachi monitor its own kWh usage? I know Mitsubishi's do.
