    Currently looking at system.

One installer offers an AC based battery, the other 2 are DC.

    Quote 1 (AC based)

    Battery System (Alpha)

    Alpha 5kWp Inverter

6.4kWp of modules with 10.1kWh battery

16 x Bisol Premium 400W Monocrystalline modules (All black modules)

    Eddi diverter

Quote 2 and 3 are similar

    Solis 5kWp inverter

    14 x Jinko 430W panels (6kWp total)

One offer a weco battery the other pure drive

Both would be 2 x 5kWh DC batteries

I’m more tempted to go with the Alpha system (it’s middle of the road price wise)

I have a Zappi v1 if that has any effect on opinion.

I think there is wires crossed somewhere...

"AC coupled batteries" don't mean the batteries are AC. All batteries are DC. All of them.

What an AC coupled battery usually means is that you have a battery, connected to an inverter that only handles the battery. There is no solar connected to it.

Then you have another inverter to do the solar.

A hybrid inverter is a "all in one" it does the batteries and it does the solar.

So with the alpha.. is there 2 inverters? If so, go with whoever is cheapest.

Alpha is a hybrid and similar to Sonen and Huawei in that it uses its own brand of batteries
