I was googling deposit rates the other day and on an whim submitted an enquiry on the above website. This evening I got a call from RBS International to discuss my interest and period of investment etc. Seemed keen that I make a decision within a week or so as they would be closing the current offerings to new business. I subsequently received an information sheet for "Fixed Term Savings Account - Issues 198 and 199" - these exist on the RBS site: https://www.rbs.co.uk/content/dam/royal_bank_of_scotland/personal/permanent/savings/documents/rb-pers-savings-ftsa-issues-198-199-information-sheets-18-04-2023.pdf

When anyone puts me under pressure to make a decision, the spidey sense kicks up a notch and I get quite sceptical. Has anyone out there any experience of them? Are they even licensed to do business in Ireland?

The guy who contacted me appears to work out of the channel islands
